Biography
Karly is licensed by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. She recently moved to North Carolina, where she will be sitting for the UBE (Universal Bar Exam) to obtain her license from the North Carolina Supreme Court. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Karly has experience serving clients in a variety of matters, including both civil and criminal litigation.
Karly graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where she received the Dean's Scholarship, Equal Justice America Fellowship Award, John P. Gismondi Fellowship Award, and the CALI Award of Excellence in Litigation Strategy and Planning. During Law School, Karly served the Pittsburgh community as a legal intern for the Allegheny County Public Defender's Office (criminal law) and Neighborhood Legal Services Association (civil law).
Karly graduated with honors from Wake Forest University, where she served as President of the Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Society, Officer of the Reynolda House Student Advocacy Council, goalkeeper for Wake Forest Women's Soccer Club, and rider on the Wake Forest Equestrian Team. She graduated from Graham High School where she was an Officer of the National Beta Club Honor Society, Captain of both Varsity Basketball and Varsity Soccer, earned a Virginia Governor’s Advanced Honors Diploma, and graduated Top 10 in her class.
Outside the firm, Karly is a life-long equestrian and an active member of the American Saddlebred Horse Association. She has received honors including the National Horseman All-American Award, National High Point Champion, and two World’s Championship titles; one as a horse owner and one as a rider.
